First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tested whether a topical gel containing diclofenac can reverse certain biomarkers linked to non-melanoma skin cancer, potentially preventing the disease. Twenty-four adults at high risk applied the gel once or twice daily, and researchers measured changes in skin biomarkers and actinic keratoses (precancerous spots). The goal was to find the best dose for reducing cancer risk.
