VA tests new combo to fight Veterans' skin Pre-Cancers

NCT ID NCT06778434

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a cream called imipramine to a standard light therapy treatment makes it more effective at treating and preventing sun-damaged skin spots that can turn into cancer. It will involve 48 veterans with fair skin who have many of these pre-cancerous spots. Researchers want to see if the combination reduces the number of spots, lessens pain from the light therapy, and helps the immune system respond better.
