Cream could shield transplant patients from skin cancer
NCT ID NCT05860881
Summary
This study is testing whether a cream containing the drug sirolimus can prevent new facial skin cancers in people who have received an organ transplant. Organ transplant recipients have a much higher risk of developing skin cancer. The trial involves 146 participants who will apply either the active cream or a placebo to their face nightly for 24 weeks to see if it reduces the number of new skin cancers.
