Simple urine test could spare cancer patients unnecessary treatment
NCT ID NCT07252297
Summary
This study is looking at whether a new urine test can predict if early-stage bladder cancer will return after surgery. Researchers will analyze urine samples from 177 patients to see if a specific genetic marker, called SIX6, is linked to cancer recurrence. The goal is to help doctors better decide which patients need extra treatment after surgery and which can be safely monitored, potentially avoiding overtreatment.
