First seen Jul 14, 2026 · Last updated Jul 16, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This trial compares a standardized siwak (chewing stick) oral hygiene program to conventional toothbrushing for improving gum health in young adults with gingivitis. Participants are dental students aged 18–24 who will follow either the siwak module or toothbrushing for 21 days. The study measures plaque, gum inflammation, and bleeding, as well as how well participants stick to the routine.
