Seaweed pill may turn back biological clock in pre-frail men
NCT ID NCT07500649
First seen Apr 03, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tests whether a natural supplement from brown seaweed, called fucoidan, can slow or reverse biological aging in 60 pre-frail men aged 50-80. Researchers will measure changes in DNA methylation (a marker of biological age) and inflammation levels. The goal is to see if activating a longevity-related protein, SIRT6, can improve healthspan without needing lifelong medication.
