First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026

Summary

This study tests a new use of targeted radiation (SIRT) to the spleen in 18 adults with gastrointestinal cancer whose platelet counts drop dangerously low after chemotherapy. The goal is to find a safe dose that raises platelets and reduces bleeding risk. It is an early-stage pilot study, so the main focus is safety and tolerability.
