First seen Apr 10, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study compares two types of drug-coated balloons used to open blocked heart arteries in people with acute coronary syndrome. The goal is to see which coating—sirolimus or paclitaxel—leads to better artery healing and less inflammation. About 60 adults with non-complex blockages will be enrolled, and healing will be checked with a special camera 3 months after the procedure.
