Summary
This study is testing whether a balloon coated with the drug sirolimus works better than a standard balloon for opening blocked arteries in the legs. It aims to see if the coated balloon can reduce the need for future surgeries or major leg amputations in 1,200 patients with severe peripheral artery disease. The goal is to improve long-term outcomes by preventing the artery from narrowing again after treatment.
