This study tested a simple checklist for hospital staff to help people who inject drugs get HIV prevention medicine (PrEP) and addiction treatment. Researchers worked with 60 HIV-negative adults with opioid use disorder at a hospital in Alabama. The goal was to see if this approach is acceptable and feasible for connecting rural patients to care.
