NCT ID NCT03495700

First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 26, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tested if a special blood-clot mixture (L-PRF block) helps grow bone better than the standard material (DBBM) for sinus lifts before dental implants. Twenty-three adults with a thin upper jawbone took part. After six months, the amount of new bone was measured using 3D scans. The goal was to see if the L-PRF block leads to faster or more bone regeneration.
