NCT ID NCT03495700

First seen May 08, 2026 ยท Last updated May 08, 2026

Summary

This study tested whether a special mix of the patient's own blood cells (L-PRF) with bone substitute helps grow new jawbone better than standard bone substitute alone. Twenty-three adults with thin jawbone needing dental implants in the upper back jaw took part. After a 6-month healing period, bone growth was measured using 3D scans.
