Blood-Derived gel may boost bone growth in jaw surgery
NCT ID NCT07348198
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looked at 21 adults who needed sinus lift surgery on both sides of their upper jaw to get dental implants. On one side, they received a standard bone graft; on the other, the same graft plus platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) made from their own blood. Six months later, small bone samples were examined to see if PRF helped grow more new bone. The goal was to find out if adding PRF improves bone regeneration.
