Triple-Drug attack on stomach cancer shows promise in major trial

NCT ID NCT07643623

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether adding a second immunotherapy drug (ipilimumab) to the standard combination of sintilimab and chemotherapy helps shrink stomach tumors before surgery and keeps cancer from coming back afterward. About 720 adults with resectable stomach or gastroesophageal junction cancer will receive either the two-drug or three-drug regimen. The main goals are to see how many patients have a major or complete tumor response and how long they live without the cancer returning.
