New robotic surgery technique tested for colon cancer patients

NCT ID NCT06824688

Summary

This study compares two types of robotic surgery for rectal cancer: one using a single small incision versus the standard method using several small incisions. Researchers want to see if the single-incision approach is as safe and effective, focusing on surgery complications, recovery time, and pain levels after the operation. The study will involve 40 patients with early to mid-stage rectal cancer who are candidates for surgery to remove the tumor.
