One-Shot radiation could beat weeks of treatment for cancer pain

NCT ID NCT04649125

Summary

This study is testing if a single, stronger dose of radiation can provide longer-lasting pain relief for people with advanced cancer, compared to the standard treatment of 5-10 smaller doses over several weeks. It aims to find a treatment that is less burdensome for patients while still effectively controlling symptoms like pain from cancer that has spread to the bones. The main goal is to see how many patients still have good pain relief 9 months after their one-time treatment.
