One shot to beat a UTI? ER study tests simpler treatment

NCT ID NCT05227937

Summary

This study is testing if a single antibiotic shot can effectively treat simple bladder infections in women visiting the emergency room. Instead of getting a prescription for several days of antibiotic pills, participants would receive one injection into a muscle or vein. The goal is to see if this simpler, one-time treatment works well and is practical for busy ER settings.
