Summary

This study is testing whether a single shot of the antibiotic amikacin can effectively treat uncomplicated bladder infections in women visiting the emergency department. The goal is to offer a quick, one-time treatment instead of the usual 3-7 day course of pills. The study will enroll 75 women aged 14 and older with a simple urinary tract infection.
