First seen May 04, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looked at whether adding hands-on simulation training to standard classroom teaching helps nurses cause fewer problems when inserting needles into dialysis patients' arm connections (AV fistulas). Over 9,600 patients took part. The goal was to see if simulation reduces issues like failed needle sticks or bruising.
