Virtual streets tested to help patients recover after hospital stay

NCT ID NCT06646939

Summary

This study aimed to see if having a simulated environment (like a fake street or store) inside a rehabilitation hospital makes it easier for therapists to train patients for daily life tasks after an illness or injury. It compared how often therapists used this new training method to how often they took patients out into the real community before the COVID-19 pandemic. The goal was to gather initial data to see if the simulated environment is helpful, safe, and efficient for patient recovery.
