First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests two new measurements (aSID and ChU) to help doctors quickly identify why hospitalized patients on thiazide diuretics have low sodium levels. About 136 adults will be randomly assigned to receive treatment guided by these new tests or standard care. The goal is to see if the new approach raises sodium levels faster and more safely than usual methods.
