One shot to rule them all: egg donors may soon ditch daily needles
NCT ID NCT06193135
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study compares a long-acting hormone injection (corifollitropin alfa) to daily hormone shots in 318 egg donors aged 18–35. Both groups also take a pill (medroxyprogesterone acetate) to prevent early ovulation. The goal is to see if the single-shot approach yields a similar number of mature eggs while being easier and less stressful for donors.
