New study tests faster way to confirm early abortion success
NCT ID NCT07417787
First seen Mar 04, 2026 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a simple, point-of-care test can check pregnancy hormone levels just 2-4 days after an early abortion (under 6 weeks) instead of waiting the usual 7 days. Researchers will enroll 130 people and compare the early test results with the standard 7-day test to see if it's accurate and helpful. The goal is to make follow-up faster and more convenient for patients.
