Simpler surgery tested for Women's pelvic health
NCT ID NCT07194343
Summary
This study compared two surgical techniques for treating pelvic organ prolapse, a condition where pelvic organs drop from their normal position. Researchers tested whether a simpler surgical method that avoids deep tissue dissection works as well as the standard technique. The study involved 190 women with moderate to severe prolapse and measured how well each surgery corrected the anatomy and improved symptoms over one year.
