First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looked at whether taking simple sugars as a daily supplement can improve health in children with congenital disorders of glycosylation (CDG), a rare condition that affects how the body builds important sugar chains. Researchers measured growth, blood sugar, liver function, and other health markers in 20 participants. The goal was to see if this easy, diet-based approach could help manage the disease.
