First seen Mar 01, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a special nutritional drink (LH VIOLA) to standard dietary advice helps people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) who are at risk of malnutrition. About 146 adults with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis will either receive counseling alone or counseling plus the drink for 16 weeks. The main goal is to see if more patients can maintain or gain weight and muscle strength.
