First seen Mar 01, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a special nutrition drink to standard dietary advice helps people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) who are at risk of malnutrition. About 146 adults with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis will either receive only nutritional counseling or counseling plus the drink for 16 weeks. The main goal is to see if more people can maintain or gain weight, with additional checks on muscle strength, body composition, and quality of life.
