One-and-done radiation: new study aims to cut hospital visits for bone cancer patients

NCT ID NCT07202273

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests whether a single, quick radiation session without the usual planning scan can safely ease pain from bone metastases. About 40 adults with one or two painful bone spots will get this streamlined treatment in just one visit. The goal is to see if it works as well as standard longer treatments while saving patients time and travel.
