Shining a light on cavity care: can blue light boost tooth treatment?

NCT ID NCT07250009

Summary

This study looked at whether adding a blue light to a common cavity treatment makes it work better for children. Researchers treated cavities in baby molars with a silver fluoride solution, and for some kids, they also shined a blue light on the tooth. They then measured if the leftover cavity activity was lower one week later in the teeth that got the light. The goal was to find a more effective, gentle way to manage cavities in young children.
