First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study compares silicone pads to felted foam for reducing pressure under the foot in people with diabetes and nerve damage who are at high risk of foot ulcers. About 80 participants will wear each type of pad, and researchers will measure how well they lower pressure and how comfortable they are. The goal is to see if silicone pads can be a better option for preventing foot sores.
