New Add-On treatment tested in battle against aggressive brain cancer

Summary
This study is testing whether adding a substance called silibinin to the standard treatment for a fast-growing brain cancer (glioblastoma) can help control the disease for a longer period. About 110 adults with newly diagnosed cancer that has a specific marker (STAT3-positive) will receive either silibinin or a placebo (inactive substance) along with their standard chemotherapy and radiation. The main goal is to see if the group receiving silibinin goes longer without their cancer getting worse.
