Could a common ED drug help Kids' hearts?
NCT ID NCT07536880
First seen Apr 18, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study will test whether sildenafil, a drug often used for other conditions, can improve heart function in children aged 1 to 18 with dilated cardiomyopathy, a disease that weakens the heart's pumping ability. Researchers will measure changes in the heart's ejection fraction (how much blood the heart pumps out) over time. The goal is to see if adding sildenafil to standard heart failure treatment can help control the disease and improve outcomes.
