First seen Nov 10, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study is testing a new blood test called Signal-C that looks for DNA fragments in the blood to find colorectal cancer and advanced precancerous growths. About 12,000 people aged 45 to 84 who are at average risk and already scheduled for a screening colonoscopy will give a blood sample before their procedure. The goal is to see how well the test detects cancer and serious polyps compared to the standard colonoscopy.
