First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated Apr 23, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested a set of tools to help pediatric doctors better document and discuss sickle cell trait (SCT) results with families. SCT is often found during newborn screening but is rarely recorded or shared. The study involved 114 primary care providers and measured how well they accepted and used the tools. The goal was to improve communication and record-keeping, not to treat or cure any condition.
