First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study aims to reduce stigma that sickle cell patients face when filling opioid prescriptions. Researchers will have 200 pharmacists and pharmacy students complete a point-of-view simulation where they hear their own words played back from the patient's perspective. Surveys before, after, and six months later will measure changes in misconceptions and empathy-based care.
