NCT ID NCT07217548

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests whether a point-of-view simulation can reduce stigma and improve empathy among pharmacists and pharmacy students when caring for sickle cell patients with chronic pain. About 200 healthcare professionals or students will complete a survey before and after the simulation, and patients will report on their care three months later. The goal is to see if this training leads to more compassionate, stigma-free treatment.
