New hope for sickle cell patients: experimental drug enters human testing

Summary
This early-stage study is testing a new drug called BMS-986470 in healthy volunteers and people with sickle cell disease. Researchers want to understand if the drug is safe, how it moves through the body, and whether it can help increase healthy hemoglobin levels in sickle cell patients. The study will enroll 184 participants and is currently recruiting volunteers.
