Virtual reality aims to empower young sickle cell patients in choosing their care
NCT ID NCT05383911
Summary
This study is testing a new way to help teenagers and young adults with sickle cell disease understand their treatment options and make decisions with their doctors and families. Researchers are comparing a virtual reality education tool to standard printed and video materials to see which is more helpful. The goal is to see if this approach is practical, acceptable, and improves how involved patients feel in choosing treatments that can modify their disease.
