Phone app aims to keep sickle cell patients out of the hospital

NCT ID NCT06919224

Summary

This study is testing whether a mobile phone app, combined with educational booklets, can help adults with sickle cell disease better manage their condition. The goal is to see if using these tools leads to fewer trips to the emergency room and hospital. Researchers will compare the app and booklets to standard care to see which is more effective and cost-efficient.
