New eye drop tested to soothe dry, uncomfortable eyes

NCT ID NCT05411367

Summary

This study tested whether a new eye drop called SI-614 could safely reduce signs and symptoms of dry eye disease better than a placebo (inactive) drop. About 230 adults with a history of dry eye used the assigned drops in both eyes four times a day for 29 days. Researchers measured changes in eye surface damage and patient-reported feelings of discomfort and dryness.
