New injection shows promise for stubborn high cholesterol

NCT ID NCT06471218

Summary

This study tested whether a new injectable drug called SHR-1918 could safely lower cholesterol in people whose levels were not well controlled. Forty-four adults received either the drug or a placebo injection over 24 weeks to see how much it reduced their 'bad' LDL cholesterol. The goal was to see if this new approach could help manage a major risk factor for heart disease.
