New hope for stubborn high cholesterol: experimental drug SHR-1918 enters trials

Summary

This study tests an experimental drug called SHR-1918 for people with high cholesterol that remains high despite taking statins and PCSK9 inhibitors. About 126 adults will receive either SHR-1918 or a placebo to see if the drug safely lowers cholesterol levels over 12 to 24 weeks. The goal is to offer a new option for controlling cholesterol and reducing heart disease risk.
