New injection tested to help stroke patients walk and talk again

Summary
This study tested a new medicine called SHPL-49, given as an injection for 7 days, to see if it could help people recover better from a recent stroke. It involved 270 adults who had a stroke within the last 8 hours. Researchers compared two different doses of the medicine to a placebo (a dummy treatment) to see which was safer and more effective at improving patients' ability to function 90 days later.
