Study tests if your own blood can heal shoulder tears better than steroids
NCT ID NCT05603468
Summary
This study aims to find the best treatment for different types of shoulder tendon tears after surgical repair. Researchers are comparing three approaches: a steroid injection, an injection of the patient's own concentrated platelets (platelet-rich plasma), and a placebo injection. The goal is to see which treatment helps patients recover better by reducing pain and improving shoulder function.
