New shoulder block could reduce breathing side effects
NCT ID NCT06844630
Summary
This study compared two different nerve block techniques for managing pain after shoulder surgery. Researchers tested whether a newer block that spares the diaphragm muscle works as well as a traditional block for pain control. The study involved 60 patients having arthroscopic shoulder surgery and measured pain levels, opioid medication use, and recovery quality.
