Shoulder surgery pain relief: which injection spot works best?

NCT ID NCT05442814

Summary

This study compared two different injection approaches for numbing shoulder pain after arthroscopic surgery. Researchers tested whether injecting pain-blocking medication from the front (anterior) or back (posterior) of the shoulder provided better pain relief with fewer side effects. The study involved 60 adults undergoing shoulder surgery and measured their pain levels and medication needs for 24 hours after their procedure.
