New nerve block tested to ease shoulder surgery pain
NCT ID NCT05439837
Summary
This study compared two different nerve-blocking techniques to manage pain after shoulder surgery. Researchers tested a newer method (paracoracoid subscapularis block) against a more established one (infraclavicular/subomohoid block) in 40 patients. The goal was to see which technique provided better pain relief while potentially avoiding side effects like temporary diaphragm weakness.
