Shoulder surgery pain relief comes with hidden breathing risk?

Summary
This study aims to measure how often a common nerve block for shoulder surgery causes temporary paralysis of the diaphragm muscle, which can affect breathing. Researchers will compare three different long-acting numbing methods in 60 patients undergoing shoulder surgery. They will use ultrasound to check for diaphragm paralysis and monitor pain relief and breathing function for several days after surgery.
