Doctors test which shoulder surgery works best for seniors
NCT ID NCT03694457
Summary
This study compared two different ways surgeons can perform a shoulder replacement operation for a broken shoulder in patients over 65. Researchers randomly assigned 90 patients to have surgery either from the front or the side of the shoulder. The goal was to see which method led to better shoulder function, less pain, and fewer complications during recovery.
