Could your waistline predict your shoulder pain?

NCT ID NCT04686435

Summary

This study followed 1100 people with shoulder pain for up to 5 years to understand what factors lead to long-lasting pain. Researchers specifically wanted to see if having metabolic syndrome (a cluster of conditions like high blood pressure and excess belly fat) makes shoulder pain harder to treat and more likely to keep people out of work. The study collected patient surveys and medical records to identify the strongest predictors of poor recovery.
